Help with windows xp

Help!
Ok i was on windows xp sp2 then i got the upgrade so i upgraded it about 11.30 at night and it took ages it looked like it was in the early stages of the install so i stupidly turned of my computer.
Now when i start up my computer it does its usual showing my my ram cpu gpu etc. Then i just get a blank page with an underscore flashing at me HELP!!!

My copy is legit but i dont have my windows xp home dsk although i have my brother windows xp pro.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

f8 key usually and on laptops is usually f6 if you have stopped before it installed then obviously you need to reinstall it.

Just to rule it out - make sure you don't have any external HDD or USB flash drives connected.

no i dont have any other attached found my disk will try and restore and tried safe mode and tht said tht my windows didn't match so will have to reinstall sp2
