Help with wireless and virgin

Hey,

just got virgin media and have a linksys router..

ive plugged it all in and it connects to the router after the cable modem has been connected to the linksys router but i cant get on the internet...

??

Did you reboot pc?

I presume this is a wired connection.

Reset the router (virgin) so it accepts the mac address?

Basically turn it on and off

You can use wired or wireless mode on wireless routers,FYI I'm using wired connection on my wireless router,so was just asking so I was clear .

think you took it the wrong way mate ... and op did say wireless in the title still never mind you no what you mean

Were you able to connect directly before you installed the wireless router? The reason I ask is that I recently went to setup someones wireless internet only to find that they had not even registered the modem with virgin. Therefore everything was connected but no internet access, once the modem was registered the internet worked.
