Just got myself a laptop and would like to if poss be able to setup network sharing on two differant networks.

So that when I come round my parents with my laptop I can access my dads pc files, and vica versa.

Network 1 - Home
Network 2 - Parents

Laptop - Vista Home Prem X32
My PC - Vista Ultimate X64

Dads PC - XP Pro

Can you set it up so that, each time your change network, your PC automically changes to the correct network? Without you chaning all the settings. Would you have to have both workgroups nams the same?

If Vista recognises them as them as different networks make sure they're both set as private. I'm not sure different workgroup names would prevent you accessing the shares, you might need to connect via \\<IP address> rather than browsing the network.

How do you mean "changes to the correct network"? It'll pick up an IP automatically if you tell it to and have DHCP running at both networks and things will be faster if you use the same workgroup at both, but it's not necessary.
