Hi guys
Just put together my first build:
2500k
asus p8z68-V
2x 4gb corsair vengence 1600Mhz 1.5v
560ti
corsair force 3 ssd

The problem is it wont post. im pretty sure all the power cables are connected, all the fans and case led's come on.
The DRAM_LED is constantly on I tried pressing the MemOk! buttom but it only restarts once and not ever 30seconds as it is meant too.
I have tried just having one stick of memory in and i have tried all the slots.
i also tried unplugging the graphics card.

it wont post, no beeps from the connected speaker.

any ideas!?
thanks

Hi I am a rookie but until a Pro comes have you plugged in the EATX 12V power source, top left of your MBoard.

Refer to page 2-28 of your mother board manual, if this is not connected you're not powering the CPU and it won't post.

If not that, double check everything, have you used the standoffs in your case (the little screw in spacers), refer to your manual and methodically check it's all plugged in correctly. Good luck

Are you sure you've plugged in all the power cables?

24 pin and 8 pin to the motherboard, 2x6 pin for the graphics card when installed.

Motherboard standoffs fitted?

What make and model of power supply are you using?

psu is an antec 650w truepower

all power cables appear to be correct. 24 pin and the 8pin in the corner. i've disabled to gpu for now until i can get it to post.

The speaker did beep once after i pressed the MemOk! button but that might just mean it regonised the vga input. at least i know the speaker is working so what does it mean if it doesnt bleep at all when i turn it on? it doesnt do anything even when i take all the memory out, the manual says there should be a long then 2 short beeps

kk so when you switch on what happens?

Do the fans spin up?

Reading your manual does that give us a beep or any diagnosis info?

Have you made sure you've installed the RAM in the 'correct' DIMMs? I know some motherboards can be fussy about this, funnily enough, my first set of RAM only worked in the opposite configuration the motherboard had recommended.

Also, that's an ASUS board... did it not come with an LED Poster?

It says installing incompatible memory will cause system boot failure and dram led to light continuously - sounds like our problem?
