Ok, whilst playing bf2 after awhile i will lose game sound and then after i keep on playing with out any sound for awhile say 5-10 mins my screen freezes complete forcing me to restart.

I have ruled out the following: my memory as i have ran memtest86. Overheating - nothing exceeds over 55c , so it won't be overheating either. I have installed latest drivers and dx also so, not that.. Help?

1GB ram
graphics card 7800gs agp
power supply 500w blue storm

Also whilst i'm playing sometimes the screen will just randomly freeze and go all pixelated and ****... like in the screen, forcing me to restart as i can't alt-del out of it.... please help ?

Starting to think it maybe the graphic card i brought from OC and that it's faulty..... opinions please !

I think the 7800GS you have there is a board, which had a terrible failure rate for the RAM (Which that definitely looks like to me).

Wait for conformation from another poster then it probably looks like you'll have to send it back

Tried reseating it in the AGP slot?

I'll try reseating tommorrow morning, and see if it still happens after i do.

If that doesnt solve it.. Then it's time to RMA which i hope isn't to much trouble to do ?

So you guys definitely think it's the graphic card.. keep in mind it either does this or restarts leaving no input to my monitor but still power to the tower forcing me to restart or freezes ingame .. ?

So i've tried reseating the graphic card and it did it again.. But it didn't go pixelated it just made the sound that it makes when u "shutdown your pc and the sound of restarting your pc" but the screen is still on and then the screen ingame is just froze... yet again forcing me to restart !!

So i may have fount the problem... Apparantely it is the card!

All 7800 gs agp cards have been having trouble with bf2 and other 3dgames just crashing to black screen and looping sounds after 10-30 mins

Whats overclockers refund policy? I would want to get a refund if possible !

Think i'm finally going to pay the price and upgrade to pci express ...

I WANT A REFUND IF POSSIBLE BUT I DOUBT I WILL AS I HAVE HAD CARD FOR 4-5 MONTHS

IF THEY DONT REFUND WOULD THEY EXCHANGE IT FOR A PCI EXPRESS CARD FOR THE PRICE I PAID FOR MY CARD AT THE TIME ... WHICH IS THE GAINWARD 7800 512 AGP

Welcome to the forums.

Thats deffo ****** that card, well they have to replace with equal/or better performance, but if you want PCI-E then your going to have to take that up with the shop, as no one on here can answer that, only the shop, which this is not.

Well hopefully they will exchange it for pci-e card at the same value of purchase .. I'll phone tomoz, will keep you all posted !
