Hi, my friend plans to go overseas and stuff. But she is wondering what mobile/pda to buy. She wants to be able to connect via GPRS and use MSN/AIM?

She was thinking about the dell Axim51v and nokia N95.

But I'm a newbie in this section and couldn't help much.

Anyone has recommendation to suit her needs? GPRS + MSN etc..

Nokia N95 looks very sweet which will do most things apart from the ironing!
Looks a good bet, only downside i reckon its battery wont be much cop

wow N95 is major overkill- an old P800/900/910i would do the job just fine, or a s/h N70? Does she realise how expensive data is abroad?

Price/Money isn't a problem here. She is just confused on what to buy that has the specs she wants.

02 XDA? WIFI Enabled so wont cost her a penny if she is in a hot spot..

Yes, the N95 has WiFi.

Personally, I'd recommend something with a QWERTY keyboard like the Nokia E61 if she's planning to do a lot of typing. The N95 will work fine if she's happy using T9 predictive text.

Both phones also offer UMTS, so you'll get better data speeds and will work in certain countries where GPRS won't work (i.e. Japan and Korea).
