Tried taking them out earlier with no luck.

Unfortunately, the case does'nt have a speaker so I can't tell what sound it's making:(

You should have a small speaker looking thing with a lead on it that came with the mobo.

From your MB manual "dont forget to connect the 4 pin EATX 12V connector or the system will not boot"

Is it connected?

I don't think so

What does it look like?

P.s. I'm gonna feel like a complete tool if it is this

just a 4 pin connector coming from the PSU. Just like the main 24 power connector and it fits directly behind the rear panel audio connector and should have two yellow and two black leads.

Once again, thanks for all your help.

I will do mate. My internet at home is being connected tommorrow so I'll download a graphics card overclocking utility and benchmarking software when it's up and running :)

I swear they should stick massive labels on the motherboard ordering people to plug this in. So many people miss it the first time round :D

I wish they did mate, would have saved everyone a lot of brainpower!

Ohh, while I'm here. Can anyone, based on my spec, advise me on overclocking for my setup? I want a decent overclock but nothing too mental cos I'm only using the cooler that came with the CPU. Here's my spec again:

Quad core Q6600
2gb(2X1GB) OCZ PC8500
Antec True power Trio 650w
BFG 8800GTS OC
My old IDE and SATA hard drives
Samsung IDE DVD-RW
Samsung SATA DVD-RW
Thermaltake VA3000SWA Tsunami Dream case
