My dad is back from holiday friday, and I have had an accident with my oil change at the weekend. I managed to spill about 2 litres on the tarmac (quite stoney) drive.

I have tried de-greaser, but that just killed the grass, and a mixture of flash and fairy, hot water and 30mins of brushing did it no good at all!

I'm finding this extremely funny, but I may well be homeless come saturday!

Help me out guys.....

Won't some sand or the like soak it up then you can brush it off?

If not, try rolling the dog in it.

Like an idiot I forgot to unplug the "vent hole" on my drain pan. I think 2 litres made it onto the drive as it glugged as well as all over me. That was 6 months ago and the stain is still there like the day I made it...

I would get house hunting!

Sprinkle cement dust on it, brush it in, it'll soak up the "moisture" mark the oil leaves, then brush up the "wet" cement dust and repeat.

If you get caught short, leave a big wide patch of cement dust on top on the stain and the oil should be hidden for about an hour (long enough for parent to unload car!)

It's almost impossible to remove oil stains from tarmac if left for any length of time as the oil dissolves into the tar :(

You can try pouring biological washing power neat over the stain (i.e. not in a solution) and leaving it for a couple of days then sweeping it up. Concrete powder also works well, but not if there is any danger of rain!

Failing that, pour oil over the rest of the driveway and he might not notice...

Recently used a pressure washer to get oil out of the block paving we have in the garden.

Not sure if it'll be any good on tarmac?

Make it look like an accident. Your dad will understand.

Get a model oil tanker ship, place it on its side on top of the spilt oil and scatter a few dead seagulls around it.

or use Gunk engine degreaser:p
