Help!

the 9800 GX2 is still the fastest single card available, 2 of them in quad sli would make the fastest dual card setup. 2 9800 GX2's are faster than 2 4870s

well i'm going to have to go and have a long think :D

deffenitly, totally insane buying 2x 9800GX2 that was the worst thing you could have done, I hope you will thank the people of OcUK land for talking you out of the insane move you where just about the make!, if anything 4x 4870's would be best, 2 would do just fine!

Fastest single card is a misleading term. It is indeed a single 'card' in terms of PCI-E slots but it's two cards in terms of it being SLI/etc, with all the problems with games that entails. Let alone bringing quad-SLI into the equation. Crossfire 4870s (or even SLI 9800GTXs/etc) will do the job just as well or better, for less cost.

1 4870 is fast, 2 4870's are faster than one 9800GX2, what do you think the 4870X2 could do if they release one? for the price of2 9800GX2's you can get 4x 4870's that would eat those 9800GX2's as all a 9800GX2 is, is 2 8800GTS 512mb cards slapped together AND underclocked and for the price its not good anymore, sure its not a bad card for under £200 but £300 EACH????
