Right guys i've got a problem

Pc spec's
AMD Althon 64 X2 4200+ AM2
2GB ram (2x512mb /1x 1GB)
Asus M3N72-T Deluxe
Asus GTX260 TOP SP-216
250gb hdd
antec 300

Just upgraded the psu in the system to a XFX 650 XXX with Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 8500C5 1066MHz

I've only put the psu in the system atm and i did take the ram out just to look what was in there. Went start the system up and there's no boot up

All the fans spin up cd'drives flash, keyboard lights up, 1x post beep.
no boot nothing on the screen ?

Any idea's guys ?

Deffo sounds like a bad power connection, like the secondary MB connector for the CPU perhaps?

Edit: You could try looking up the MB error code on linky

I've checked all the power connectors tryed unpluging and pluging back in etc made no diffenence

Right i might of jumped the gun a bit here

just took the ram out and left 1 stick in turned on and booted first time

you tried both sets of RAM? tried one stick at a time?
tried using old psu in case new one is doa?

The new psu is fine i think just a problem with ram i think i'll try new the new ram i'll do 1 one stick at a time tho

Just tryed the new ram both sticks worked fine great just turned off put the graphics card back in, no boot hmm odd that one i guess i'll try taking the ram out again

Right taking the ram out didn't work this time so it boots without the gfx card in with the ram, but not with gfx card and the ram in

Edit: just got it to boot with the gfx card in and 1 stick of ram

now lets try 2 sticks

Edit 2 : Its working now im happy

not sure what the problem was tho
