HELP!

PLugged the H50 fan into the MB and still the same! :(

Ok, I give up. Get in touch with the guy about the receipt he clearly advertised in the offer, it doesn't sound unreasonable for a warrently to extend beyond 1 year. At the very least ask him for some insight (after all he was the owner)

Sorry mate. Also, hopefully someone else replies with ideas, you wound't believe how many of these threads get solved with stupidly simple suggestions.

Ohh, I found the Receipt! Woops. Receipt is dated 8th September 2009. How would I go about RMAing the board then? Never done this before :\

Note that you must be careful, if they find out you bought it second hand I believe they're going to refuse outright. Not very familiar with their policy though.

Also worth browsing through their forum for similar issues

Is the receipt from OcUK ? If so you might want to give them a call first, a helpful bunch they are.

Yeah, its an OCUK receipt. Do OCUK handle RMA's if they are under 12 months?

Which number do I call?

0871 910 910 2 Support
or
0871 910 910 3 Systems Support

Hello, just got your email directing me to this thread

Have you tried the memory in slots 2 & 4? I think they are the primary slots, I cant remember if you need to occupy the primary slots prior to the secondary ones like the x58 boards, all the memory slots should be fine I have used 8gb of ram in this board with no issues (corsair memory & geil)

also make sure nothing is shorting the board behind such as stand offs in the wrong place, try the board on the bench

board was working perfectly mate, never had any issues with it at all, and yes the receipt is in the back page of the manual

Yeah, Slot 1 is the second closest to the CPU socket. I had only one stick in that and still had issues.

Just one thing...

If the board is infact dead, what will OCUK replace it with? Or will it be sent off to MSI?

Okay, I have just about had enough of this now. Sent it first class yesterday - £8.70, arrived today, and got an email

Dear Mr XXX XXX,

The product MB-123-MS on RMA183553 has been returned to you. It has been rejected for the following reason.

"Warranty Void : Scratches through the tracks on the motherboard"

Now they are charging me to send it back to me? But I have a really bad feeling they are charging the original buyer :|What do I doo?!?!

So far, this has cost me;
£75 for mobo
£8.70 for postage
£10+shipping+VAT to send it back to me!

I am beginning to wish I hadnt bothered. The board must have been broken before I had it, I didnt even use it! I finished the build, powered it on and nothing?! I wish I hadnt bought second hand now! :(

Madness, if you recieve a charge, im soo sorry. Let me know how much it is and Ill BT or Paypal you the money

Thanks for all the support guys, I dont know how I'm going to afford a new motherboard, this one has cost me well ove £100 now and its broken! :'(
