Hi guys my kids i think have a virus on there system have formatted it 4 times tried vista 64 bit and win7 64 bit no joy. when ever i move the mouse over an app it opens multiple apps and switches off its like the screen just keeps flickering when ever i try to open something ?? any ideas???

Boot sector virus or MBR virus?

How many partitions do you have on your drive and how many drives?
Is it a genuine copy of Windows Vista? If not, it could contain virus' within the very install files.

hi no partitons and yes bought version of vista and win 7 if its a boot virus any way of getting rid??

Avira has a boot sector virus removal tool but I have not used it.
