I recently built a new computer and the warning light for the CPU on the mobo keeps coming on and doesn't boot at all. Thinking it might be a mistake when I putting it together I took it apart to try and see the issue but there isn't one that I can find. Can anybody help me find out the problem and resolve it?

It's a Asus P8Z68-V PRO mobo with a i5 2500K and the fan is a Corsair H60. I've tried several boots and they all come up with the warning light and none of the other lights come up so I think it must be a CPU/Mobo problem.

Any help is much appreciated

It varies with most boards as to where the bios switch is. Read the manual and it will tell you where the 'clear cmos' jumper is then follow the instructions to do that and reboot.

Looking at the picture I would guess its the blue jumper at the bottom right hand corner

Also check you have the duel 4 pin 12v power connector connected to the motherboard otherwise the board wont boot.

I'll try that after work, if anybody else has any other ideas of what the problem could be fire away and I'll try them all...if it still fails I'll call up to get replacement CPU and mobo...if that fails I'm gonna cry :'(
