Help!

Hey

Just reinstalled windows as you do...

Working fine, went ahead and installed drivers and the such, no problems... Then the customary restart after the flurry of drivers.

Upon boot the mouse and keyboard work fine in the BIOS but.... They are ignored entirely by windows... Can't get to the password screen as it doesn't register a click or a key press.

Its not crashed as the clock is ticking and the internet logo changes when its cycleing through to connecting.

I tried all USB ports, I tried a USB hub... Nothing.

The lights on both mouse and keyboard light up but the buttons do nowt.

I Dont have any other in the house to try and I need this PC working to do work on today.

Can anyone shed some light on this mad situation?

Try rapidly hitting F8 during startup and see if they work in safe mode. Maybe one of the drivers screwed up USB under Windows or something.

Can you try load into Safe Mode? see if they work there?

press F8 before Windows starts loading.

If safe mode doesn't work then if you have one of the really old keyboards using the ps/2 keyboards as the drivers for the USB mouse and keyboard might be broken.

Mobo doesn't have the old ports

I managed to get it to book into recovery by turning it off at the PSU when in windows... And done a restore to before the drivers were installed. Will report back

Installing each Driver at a time now to see what happens lol

Yea, I found the driver that caused it, Seems the Logitech Driver for my keyboard and mouse cause them to not be recognized in windows
