HELP

Hi, Im doing my first ever build and so far so good-ish.

Put everthing together, and come to start the PC.
Pc starts, CPU fan works, then there is one short beep then one short been after that. Just 2 beeps. made sure the RAM is in the correct slots, and taken one out, still doesn't work.

Any ideas? Please help!

you could look in the back of your MB manual to find out what the error code means

Sounds like some sort of halt, depends on the motherboard. Have you made sure to plug in the 8/4pin EPS power cable? (Next to the CPU)

Yes the EPS is in. On the motherboard that is the ATX_12V_2X4 port right? On the power cable it has CPU written onto it.

Yes, that's the one. I'm assuming you get zero display? Give the BIOS a reset and see if you get any further.

Nope my monitor says No Signal. What does resetting the BIOS mean?

YAY removed the GPU and it now works. Thanks for the help!

Could you clarify what you mean please because I am reading that as now you aren't using your gpu, or do you mean you took it out and then reinserted it ?

I have just removed it completely, I will reinsert it tommorow and see if that was the problem. The GPU is rubbish anyway, im only using an old one until I buy my new Hd7850
