help!?

my pc was working fine last night and when I turned it on today the screen was just black. I changed around my hdmi cables but it still stayed black. its running via my tv.

any ideas?

clear cmos?

it will reset bios and any overclock settings so beware

it sounds dead on when turning on I have cleared the cmos but its still the same.

looked insode for cpu fan spinning? maybe psu is kapput

Turn the TV on? Check TV plug fuse, check PC on another TV/monitor.

im using the kular 620, the fan is working as are the rest of them.

im not sure if this means anything but when the power button is pressed it just knocks off normally you have to hold it in for a about 5 seconds.

I tried the other tv and normally when the tv is on hmdi the screen is blue when I tried the pc on it it just went black.

Possible short somewhere maybe??
Is that cooler one of those AIO jobbies? If so inspect with a fine tooth comb/torch for possible leaks, i would take it out of your pc for this.

Edit, just because it works i would still inspect that cooler, gpu's can just die or there maybe a reason, if it does leak i presume your psu is below your gfx card and that could go bang! Better safe than sorry.

I had a look for leaks but it seems fine. I will take this out when I have some money but until then I have to stick with it.

Take it out to check, if some fluid dropped on the gpu it would cause a short potentially breaking your gpu. Like i said better safe than sorry and it will take 30mins at best to remove, check and put back if all is ok.

All in one water coolers can and do fail...

im going to need some paste etc to put it back on if it is faulty. I might just bite the bullet and buy an air fan regardless. I havnt been on here in a while so im not sure what new products have arrived.

can you do me a favour and spec me a fan for about 40 quid.

Good price for that.

If i had some paste i'd send you some. Rather than take it off, get some toilet paper and go round every part of your cooler but keep checking paper for wet bits, maybe pinch the tubes as you go.
Or if you can get power to just the cooler (nothing else) but lay some paper towels below it just incase.
There could be nothing wrong with it, but ya never know.
