Help!

Oh... My... GOD!!!

Your PC went into long looping tried to load all drivers.

http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/pc-cant-boot-avg-problem

I believed AVG caused your PC failed to booted possible after automatically downloaded and installed bad anti-virus update, AVG done it before many times.

You could try download AVG RescueCD and created bootable DVD or USB and restart PC to boot AVG RescueCD to download latest anti-virus update then restart PC to see if it will boot normal.

If not then you will need to download AVG Remover to USB stick then boot PC into command prompt and type avg_remover then press enter to perform full uninstall AVG garbage from your PC. When done, restart PC and it will boot normal.

oops sorry didn't know I could spoiler it to hide all the text :( thank you for hiding it for me.

I have AVG but not Norton. Going to purge AVG now. Will update when done.

Oh you beautiful beautiful Bas****s!

You fixed my pc! I have purged AVG with the fires from the 9th circle of hell and now my PC is happy and alive again!

Many thanks to you all and if I could I would shower you all with real cookies, instead! *showers with cookies* :D

If anyone can help I am desperate. My computer boots up normal but after about 5 minutes it freezes and wont let me do anything. Windows event log says error of missing driver SMR501 and nothing else. Cant seem to find driver anywhere. I have removed and reinstalled Norton. Didnt seem to help. Thanks in advance.

Hi, it will be worth creating your own thread with this problem. Otherwise it will get overlooked in this thread. Maybe a mod can do it for you.

But sorry, Im not sure how to fix your problem, someone else will be along soon though!

Welcome to OCUK.

Hopefully a mod can move this to it's own thread but in the meantime try some of the advise posted earlier in this thread, especially with trying Windows repair/restore etc and see how you get on.
