Hey guys, quick question. Im currently filling my loop and I only have the atx plugged into the psu and the molex to the pump, now the pump was taking the water I was making sure I didn't let the pump go dry but it's stopped taking water only after about just over half a litre of liquid but no signs of the water moving with the power on.

Any ideas?

You do have a jumper on the 24pin?
What pump is it?
Is the pump making any noise when you power on the PSU?
Post a pic of your loop and someone might spot a possible issue in the layout.

Yeah I the jumper is plugged in and it's a EK X-res 140 d5 PWM. The water is going round slowly but it's not taking water from the res to fill all the blocks and tubes etc.

Il post a pic in a sec

stop and start the pc, tilt tower forwards backwards side to side

Yeah been doing that for a while seems to be working slowly, the water level in the res seems to be going down a bit.

But I'm not sure how loud the pump is meant to be, I hav no control over the speed but seems very quite and not sure how fast it should be flowing.

I beleive it will be the PWM pump. Mine Without a signal from the mobo ran very slowly. You will need to force the pump to 12v or full speed.

I bet this is your problem, it should empty that 140 res in seconds at full speed.

Photo with instructions.

You will have to a piece of wire and stick it into the rear of the molex power connector itself. Easier if it's the same one powering the pump so you know which port to put it into. Then stick the other end of the cable into the front of the pwm fan connector on the pump. The same port as the green cable.

Just remember first time it's at full speed, be ready with the power button on the PSU. It will empty that res very quickly ;).
