Daughters PC not working. Need a replacement motherboard.

Existing one is an Asrock H170M-itx

Everything else ok on PC.

PC fires up but nothing on monitor.

Tried 2nd monitor same.

Tried mobo out of case, same.

All i did was replace the mobo battery and now nothing on monitor. Just blinking monitor light.

Triple checked cables, power cable, monitor cable, tried different monitor cable, nothing.........

Help!

Battery faulty or installed incorrectly?

CMOS cleared itself and video now coming out of onboard video not GPU?

New battery....onboard GPU...

Would battery cause the monitor to not come on?

I havent got a dedicated GPU

The cmos battery is like a laptop one. Sealed in wrap with wires.

I pulled the other apart and stuck wires onto it with elec tape.

I put wires on wrong way. Then put them back properly but still blinking on monitor.

I have ordered correct battery now with wire and connector. You think that may solve issue.

It might - I've known failed cmos batteries to cause weird issues in rare circumstances. Have you tried with the battery completely disconnected?

Is the clear CMOS jumper in the correct position?

Tried both those

I ordered a new battery. Same now as what i took out, with leads on it.
