help me please today i started my pc up normally and found neither of my 2 out of 3 drives was showing up these drives contain my data and programs my main drive is a samsung ssd, then when i looked in the device manger it showing up the drives, then i restarted and showed up in the bios, but this time it was taking ages on the windows 7 welcome screen the one with the windows logo and i kept it on this display for about 5 mins before restartign as i figured it crashed, now i cant boot up the pc with out disconneting the 2 documents and programs drives and booting onli of the ssd if i try to connet the other drives it will show up in device manger but not in windows any ideas ? the drives appear just fine in the bios help i really need to get the documents off the drive and want my pc back to the way it was thanks
 
Download a copy of megaiso (Hirens boot disk), this has a bootable copy of windows XPE. You can then move files between drives or external storage. Bart PE will also do similar.

Sounds like the SSD has corrupted files. Remove the overclock, reset the bios. repair windows
 
have run a chkdisk but no luck :(

i wil run that boot disk to get my files off but how do i sort out the ssd is there any way of sorting it out or is it a simple case of whip it and re install windows

Have you reset the bios, this will remove your overclock and provide default settings.

Then yes if you cannot repair windows, it will be a new install.

I had an identical issue a few weeks ago and it had me scratching my head for a while.
It turned out to be two iffy SATA cables. They worked fine for over a year. Swapped out the cables and ta-da all sorted.
