i did a little tone mapping in photomatix, trying not to over do them but to bring out the feeling of the place, i was hoping for some clouds though.

Nice photos but there are to many films and stories about creepy old abandoned hospitals for me to be going into a place like that :) ...shudders

The sky on the first seems weird. It's like you've swept over it with the dodge/burn tool, and it's blown out on the right.

I love the building though. You could probably get some dramatic shots later in the evening from a lower angle, there. Not sure about the second shot though. It seems like an estate agency shot really, with no distinguishing feature.

unfortunatly the sun was still quite high :( i took these at 2pm i think it was, im hoping this weekend will be greyer so it will make it easyer to get a better feeling.

The angle of the first one is good by the way, it's just the sky and long shadows I didn't like (shadows could work well from a different angle. I think the building has a lot of potential for various types of shots :)

Being a HDR fan myself , i think these photo's would be better suited for a darker image i think the second one would look good using one of the many photo effects!

Try lowering the luminosity , i think thats the word for it... But i do prefer that one more so!

Thanks for having a go for me :D

ive given that a try but not realy much improvement, probably due to the sky being to bright to start with.

i will go back up soon, possibly tuesday as i have the day off

You watched the film "Shrooms" ? lol Never get me up to a place like that alone lol. Great first shot tho i like it :)
