The original was *****, tbf. It might have been so cheesey it was fun in the eighties, but time has not been kind to it.

To each their own. The only thing I liked about the original was the soundtrack.
Of course they will reboot the sequels - the only reason they would do a remake of Highlander is for the franchise opportunity. I'm sure they realise just how insane such a remake is - you have to beat soundtrack by Queen, Sean Connery as Egyptian Spaniard and Clancy Brown as Kurgan.
That said - I can almost see in my head what they are probably planning - some oversized chick waving around with double edged sword as a non binary Svyetlana Kurganovskaya, Michelle Yeoh as a wise teacher instead of Ramirez and Adam Lambert murdering "Who wants to live forever" in a duet with Lady Gaga in the background.

Highlander was an 80’s classic. They’ll screw the pooch in ways you can’t even imagine yet with this reboot.
