Forgive my dumbness, what is REBAR and what does it do?

https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-30-series-resizable-bar-support/

Long version,

It basically gives you about 1 or 2 frames more in some games, less frames in some games, some games wont work, and some games will run like crap, stutter etc..., so it has to be turned off/on all the time, and to get it, you have to flash your motherboards BIOS, your gfx cards BIOS, and if you have your Windows drive as MBR, you have to change it to GPT, which could potentially **** it, meaning you'll have to fully reinstall Windows/everything :p

Short version,

Its an absolute load of ******* ****, thats just not worth bothering with :D

I'm referring to post 1.

I don't see the 3rd flag values ("0x000F00FF - 0x0000000040000000") in non-supported games. The flag is blank there. So i just have to copy and paste "0x000F00FF - 0x0000000040000000" ?

What do i have to do with the 3rd flag?

its a pulldown, there is only 2 possible options. The second option will be the 0x0000000040000000 value.

Did you make sure to click on the icon I mentioned to make the flags visible?

It looks like this for example:

AC: Odyssey: https://imgur.com/7eIXyHW

So if i want to deactivate reBar for a game like watch dogs legion, i also have to delete the value in the 3rd flag?

Ahh yeah you cant just select default again, another method aside from entering all 0s is you can reset the profile to defaults (and then reapply any other customisations that may have been in place).

Hopefully a newer inspector gets released which makes this easier.

Nvidia just should add a reBar setting for the NVCP.

I already requested this and a guy who seems to close to the dev team said no chance of it happening. The thread I made on the nvidia forum also didnt get a single reply so disappeared into the void. :(

I play Apex Legends, however I am pretty much locked at 165fps with a 3080 @ 1440p anyway, so not really noticed much difference. :)

Thanks - you just made me realise that the 100 fps target in adaptive frame rate isn't a cap and you can disable it by setting it to zero. Most confusing menu design. I'm playing on a 4K HDR1000 144 Hz monitor so will see how that goes later.
