I'd say the majority of us are more or less desensitised to these attacks now and the only time it'll ever affect us is if we witnessed one our self or lost a family member or friend to one.

It could have been a lot worse, so well done to the police for putting their lives in danger and taking this scumbag down fast. I wish they were armed police and just deleted him instead though.

One male victim, last known to be critical and in surgery...

The deterent needs to increase..

Caught carrying knife with no legal or arguable reason in public place = 2 years
Wield knife with intent but no injury = 5 years
Penetrating injury = 10 years
Death from stabbing = Life

I remember Tony Blair saying "tough on crime.. tough on the causes of crime" many years ago but that hasn't deterred much
