Hmm. I think I'm at least partially in agreement with you. We do like to put other people into pigeon holes so that we can then associate behaviour we don't like with them in order to enhance our self esteem. Most of these pigeon holes are pejoratives such as goth, emo, ned, etc etc.

I believe it does happen with the word chav.

In the same breath though, many people who have fingers pointed at them and the word chav said... I think really are chavs, if you go by the definition that most people have of the word. So perhaps being able to point at someone and dismiss them is a necessary part of our communication?

And before replying realise that virtually everything has been called Chav on these forums from the car you drive, the music you listen to, the clothes you wear, the alcohol you drink, the TV programmes you watch .........................
 
Suggesting a youtube search may have avoided a suspension, as I found it easily.

To be honest, that sorry excuse for a teenage girl needs to be aborted, albeit somewhat belatedly.
 
That accent disgusts me more than anything she was actually saying, not that I could understand half of it anyway.
