Hi Guys

Recently got a brand new chair but the arms on it are quite high (even when lowered) and my desk is quite low (due to it being a small form factor). The upshot is that when gaming, my hands are point down to the keyboard rather than slightly upwards (which is what I'm used to) which is causing irritation and a bit of pain.

What I'm after is something (a thick gaming mat or something) to raise my Razer Black Widow by about 1/2" to 1" so that once more things are normal :)

I might end up trying to bespoke the tray so that it's higher, although I'd prefer not to.

Any ideas?

BoogieBug not high enough for your purpose? A thick cushion like that would be nice.

EDIT : nowhere near thick enough :) Some form of raiser underneath, gotta to have to be pretty big.

Yea, all good fun, but not much cop really. OK for typing, can be very inaccurate at times, and completely hopeless/weird for gaming.

I've got a Kensington Wave mousepad and keyboard gel wrist rest - it holds your wrist an inch or so off the desk and massively improves the shape of my wrist when typing - I can't recommend them enough.

was thinking about saving desk space but not much point if its no good

Your best bet is to read some reviews I guess, i'm pretty sure that there are lots of different makes/models by now, I might have just used a bad one.
