After the season finale of "Heroes" on Monday night, show creator Tim Kring answered fan questions on his live blog about the upcoming six-episode spin-off "Origins" and also dropped some hints about next season:

In regards to Origins: ""The idea was to try to do about half a dozen episodes that are stand-alone episodes dealing with the origin stories of characters all around the world who are waking up with the discovery of these unique abilities. They are not connected necessarily to the show Heroes, but if you do watch or are a fan of Heroes, you'll see tiny little clues that tie into the show."

In terms of format he says that Origins will feature "cautionary tales and morality tales... they're completely stand-alone episodes that don't follow a serialized formula... one of the people on Origins may be involved on Heroes, eventually."

As for the second season? "...as you notice Volume 2 started the end of tonight's episode, but by no means does Volume 2 have to be the entire length of Season 2. In fact, don't expect it to. It will end sometime in the middle of the season, wrapping up a story with it that will allow us to launch in to a new storyline."

Talks are also underway with Christopher Eccleston, who played the invisibility-powered Claude Raines, to appear again next season.

Was just looking at the Wiki there. Turns out that Nathan and Peter are confirmed to return next season.

The heads are empty and the brains are never found because he eats them.

I don't think this is the case somehow. It has to be more linked to his watch making/repairing skills and reconstruction ability. Him eating their brains would be so far out of anything else happing in the story it would completely ruin it.

And by the way, it was a **** poor ending, after all that happened they just let Sylar slink away in to the sewer. If they're struggling with a season finale storyline then i don't hold out much hope to where they hope to take things next season.

It'll be revealed exactly how he takes the powers early next season.

I sense a mob storyline next season as they are casting for the part of an Irish mobster. I think we can expect the person who Molly said "sees her" when she tries to find them becoming the big bad next season. I have a feeling that Sylar will become semi good in order to create an allience of convience, as it were, to fight an evil bigger than he.

Just my thoughts though. The only thing we know for sure is that next season is due to features much looking into peoples linage with Mr. Linderman, The Petrellis, Charles Devaux and the Nakamura families all being explored.

Also, Tim Kring has said that we shouldn't expect volume 2 to encompass all of next season. In fact, he says volume two will end in the middle of next season and volume 3 will be start directly after.

anyone know if this is still airing on SKY?

I downloaded the first episode to see if i liked it and I'm hooked.

I won't d/load the rest as I have some moral fibre left in me but have no qualms about "temporarily" recording it to my DVR.

Pah just looked it up and they are on EP 17 :(

Holy thread revival Batman :p

I've just finished watching this - watched the entire 1st series within a few days last week and I've just finished watching the first 11 episodes of season 2 - anyone else seen this?

Am dying to find out what happens next !

Still not sure when the rest of season 2 (volume:3 villains) will return.

Atm looks like its going to be september.

Same here unfortunatly due to some ******** writers striking the recording of the 3rd season has been put on hold:mad:
I havent done much reading into it, but i fully support the writers strike. It seems they get a very raw deal for their work. Talented writers deserve the awards, recognition and money that big name directors and producers get.

True but their ruining all the good programs that have been/are on TV!:(
