Heroes

I was massively disappointed with Series 2. The first 6/7 episodes, nothing really happened. They were passable just. Then suddenly everything fell into place, the series had a plot and it was amazing, only for the series to end after the 11th episode just as it was beginning.

He is talking about season 2 - volume 2, only being 11 episodes long with a re-written ending due to the writers strike.

No idea when season 2 - volume 3 (ep 11-23) "villains" begins.

When does season 2 start in the UK :)

I think it would have been better to just put the show on hold until the strike is sorted rather than compromise it by rushing an ending.

Yes i agree, i love heroes and think its the best show on TV and i don't want to see rushed endings.

Althought the strike is a blessing in disguise because volume 3 "villains" was supposed to be without sylar through out most of it due to his commitment with the new star treck movie. But due to the strick, sylar will be more avaliable to the show :D

I cant believe that they wasted so much time introducing some of the characters in season 2. I thought that we were enduring some slow moving/cumbersome shows because these characters would later become important, but sadly this was not the case.

In general, the episodes that have Peter Petrelli in them, were great. The episodes without him, were very slow moving and tedious.

Still, the premise for Volume 3 is good. Lets hope they dont go all slow moving and boring again and keep the pace of the show up. There are so many different story lines that could be created given the fact that you effectively have super heroes that can potentially do anything. And if they cant, just invent a new character that can.

Actually, by bringing things to a quick finish, the overall pace of the show improved no end. We were no longer wasting time with bit-part characters but instead could concentrate on Peter Petrelli and the usual suspects.

I wouldve hated to see another 11 episodes of Season 2 where we are following the travels of some mind-numbingly boring characters (who are new to the show), hoping for some event to take place, that never materialises.

There is another 11 esp to go matey :D

Not for season 2. Because of the writers strike, they cancelled the Heroes: Origins spin-off series and wrapped up season 2 early.

Roll on season 3....

No you are confusing season with volume

Season 1 consisted of volume 1 "Genesis" 23 episodes

Season 2 consists of volume 2 "Generations" 11 eps, volume 3 "villians " 12 eps which will begin after strike.

They re wrote the ending to the volume due to the strike, its still in season 2. Unless you can show me a link where Tim Kring says otherwise.

Technically its season 2 but tbh its a new chapter in it so it should be season 3. i do agree how the first 7 ep's it all went well slow and the last 2 ep's where soooo rushed in giving the story out.

no spoilers here, but Season 2 is great and there have been no compromises by ending at Ep 11. It just appears as a cut nothing more. All in all, well worth watching when it airs in the UK

And it quite clearly is "Villians" Season 3 (Volume 3) its says so at the end.

Season 2 was originally planned to contain two volumes. The only thing that changed in volume 2 was the strike causing the volume end to change slightly and become a season finale. It was always supposed to be that way. They didn't purposefully rush it.

I like how Tim Kring admitted that mistakes were made with the slow pace of the start of season 2. Its good to know that this won't happen again in volume 3. Keeping the pace of the 2nd season up.

EDIT: After further investigation, apparently I'm wrong. Season 2 was supposed to be 3 volumes. Volume 2 (11 eps) Volume 3 (7 eps) volume 4 (6 eps).

No one knows when vol 3 will air. Though I am excited to hear that Volume 3 will bring a host of villians to the show, as opposed to just the one.

Exactly, people keep thinking season 2 has ended when it hasn't! Its just the end of the volume, not season 2.

I can't wait for Villains and i wish i knew the date it is going to resume, at least i can count down the days lol :p

Watched one episode and it didnt grab me TBH so didnt watch anymore

I always watch the entire first season of something before i make up my mind if it's worth it or not. Watch the first season, and if you still dont like it after that, its probably not your thing.

I watched the first 2 episodes of lost and thought it was rubish, at a later date i decided to watch the entire first season and im hooked big time now !

Just started BSG, about 5 episodes in but i think its a little boring, im still going to watch the whole season then make up my mind.

It's an easy mistake to make. Since Volume 1 was an entire series, how is your average viewer supposed to know that Volume 2 wasn't? Especially since the writers strike has shut down so many series indefinitely...
