Hertz Mustangs in the US

A lot of places here pump 98/99 RON. You think BMW get 507hp from an M5 on 95 RON?I'm not sure it's fair to say it kills it, to be honest. Most Americans consider performance in a straight line first and then cornering second.

Where? Everywhere I've seen so far (in California, Nevada and Arizona) only goes up to 91 MON which is about 95 RON isn't it?

apparently they also have 94 MON (our equivalent to v power)

but its not very common.

Depends where you are. California (being vegetarian, sandal-wearing, Prius-driving, hippy country) doesn't see much of it, and the particularly high-altitude regions don't, and some of the more remote areas don't. But I've seen gas stations in the Seattle area selling stuff that you'd happily run a Formula One car on.

petrol stations near the nurburgring sell 106 octane race fuel i think

take it thats the stuff you're referring to ?

as i dont think F1 cars run on 99 RON ;)

When I went to the states last year, I only ordered a cheap car through Hertz. When I went to the desk after landing, I had a chat with the guy behind the counter and he managed to upgrade it to a Mustang for me for about $100 for the 2 weeks.

Yes, it was only the V6 model, but tbh, I couldn't have cared less, it was still fun to drive and had enough poke for what I wanted it for (driving from NC to NY).
