my housemate's lacie drive has started messing up, it doesn't mount as a drive anymore and the mac equivalent of windwows disc management shows it it has no partitions (something must have messed the partition table or something)
what tools can i run on the drive to recover the data?
i'm a windows user, so would prefer to work with ultimatebootcd or similar, but can use his mac if i need to
as usual, it has all his 'important stuff' on it, and being a noob, he has no backups
thanks in advance -tried the seagate (its a maxtor drive) tools, it didn't come up with much, and i tried testdisk on it, but it said something was corrupt on the drive, and couldn't find the partition, it also knew that it was a 120gb drive, but said about a problem that it thought it was an 80gb drive..
