By the way it's obviously 1 jaffa cake if you cut one in half, but if you cut a sandwich in half, then there's 2 sandwiches, as everyone in the original thread agreed

You see, you can't compare the two, because typically you don't 'make' a jaffa cake yourself. The whole sandwich debate came about because you could make a whole one (by definition) using only one piece of bread
