Hi, I eat carrots.

Don't do it often but I like to eat them with those packs of 4 different sauces you get from the supermarkets, the ones that are always there on buffets.

Anyone else eat carrots? I find them fascinating and utterly cheap at 99p from Tesco for a big bag already cut into mini batons!

They're also a good source of Vitamin A :D

So my question is, does anyone else who eats carrot sticks dip them in any type of sauce and if so, what?

Cheers!

cherry or plum tomatoes (frsh of course, not tinned) with a little salt and pepper for me.

For cooked carrots try this Vichy Carrots recipe:

Peel carrots and cut as desired
Place in a pan with 3 large pinches of salt and the same of sugar
Add knob of butter - about a heaped teaspoon full
Add water until it's nearly level with the top of the carrots
Boil until all the water has evaporated.
If the carrots are not cooked enough, add a little more water and continue to cook

A bowl of cut, raw carrots is great when you're sitting at a desk instead of munchin on biscuits etc.

Carrot & Spicy pasta + cheese grating *** :D

Because I read this thread this morning, I went out and got a load of carrots to make carrot, ginger and coriander soup this evening. That with some fresh, crusty bread and butter on a cold night - perfect.

Don't be silly it will just evaporate into the air! Hmm... Interesting. Maybe if you put loads of carrots in a pan and boil them until they evaporate you can breathe the super nutritious carrot gas in!

LOL.
All this talk of carrots, we'll be on about quacking plums next. :)

Humous and carrots, I agree, yum yum.

Raw carrots are meh, and humous is horrible, but for some reason if you combine humous and grated carrot in a sandwich it's lovely.

Speaking of carrots, do any of you carrot lovers add them to spagbol? Ive been looking at a few recipes and they all include a grated carrot but Ive never added one before and cant imagine it tasting nice.

I believe if you grate it in they will just disappear as they get cooked so you get no bits but all the goodness :)
