Hi Pings ???

Strange one here

Built a new PC i5 etc to play BF3 and this mornign was getting pings of 500 so could not play. Reset the router and tried wifi and still crazy hi. Did a test and my PC is getting

Ping 1600
Download speed 0.20
Upload speed 0.02

now my imac 27" on wifi its getting

Ping 60
Download speed 5.50
Upload speed 0.66

i'm confused whats going wrong on the PC :confused:

What sort of signal strength/network speed are you connecting at when it's really bad? Could be another wireless network interfering with yours or a baby monitor/microwave.

How is the PC connected to the router?
Any security software?
Any network card software?

Its connected by ethernet across a power-line adapter.

Try a wired connection.

Try another ethernet port on the router. Try updating network drivers. Also test a direct connection in case it could the the powerline adapters/electrical wiring in the mains causing it.
