kk. i think the window side panel is a much better choice here. The one with fan.. is it really necessary now? I mean, altho my comp will generate quite a heat and I am going water cooling.. so the window panel would be a much better choice right?

I'm told that the top-end ATI video cards run very hot so the Akasa engineered fan panel may be a good choice for people with that type of graphics card, but generally there is so much air space inside the Eclipse/Mirage chassis that it's not really necessary.

As for not buying Lian Li because it sounds girly, I've always thought of my PC's as female - motherboards and all that. And I've always been partial to something with curves in the right places.... ;)

O crap, truthfully speaking, I have never seriously NEVER assembled a computer before. Or even touch or change components. I just got interested in DIY rigs etc and would like to learn :p . And mate, if I buy lian li cases, where can I get window side panel for them?

If this is your first DIY rig please for the love of all that is holy and good in this world don't buy watercooling, a decent £30 ish heatsink (Scythe Ninja) will give you very nearly the same performance for a quarter of the price and infinitely less hassle.

Fact is you'll be learning, and it's more important to learn about the basic stuff at first rather than getting caught up in W/C.

Well im all up for people getting into custom rigs and modding etc, and im more than willing to help you to learn, but i'd suggest taking one step at a time. I wouldn't consider water cooling until your confident with putting a computer together. The rig im currently putting together is going to be my first water cooled(And Phase cooled :)) rig, and ive been building/fixing/breaking computers for about 11 years now. and im afraid I can't tell you where to get LianLi windows from as they would be classed as a competitor. Google is going to be your friend on this one. :)

I agree with you guys! I think I will start from fan etc first before really going for something advance ;P Having said that, I see in OcUk under Lian Li accesories, there is window panel, which model does that window panel support?

And Khan, once I get new case etc, you shall be my mentor in building rigs!

This replacement side panel will add a window to all Lian-Li Mid-Tower models including: PC-5B, PC-7, PC-60, PC-61, PC-6085, PC-6085B, PC-6070, PC-6070b, PC-6077 and PC-6077B

Hmm, then most of the Lian Li cases OcUk sells isnt exactly compatible with the window panel beside pc-7. *thinks* will come up with a decision soon

The one that OCUK stocks fits the Lian-Li PC-60 and PC-7, which is quite handy as the Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Black Aluminium Midi-Tower Case (No PSU) (CA-054-LL) Price: £48.95 (£57.52 Including VAT at 17.5%) is an ideal first time build case. Its good quality and will last a lifetime if looked after. Its also a very simple, no nonsense design making it ideal for you IMO.

And sure about being your build mentor. :) My MSN address is in my trust if you ever need to chat.

I went to look at Lian Li cases, I didn't see the 201 you showed. Only 101. Does OcUk sells 201 cases? And thanks for being my mentor *bows*

Yes master. Eh I looked into your trust, tried adding you to msn, it says you are not associated with passport or whatever they said.
