Just installed a HID kit and i didnt realise they dont have a hight beam!

So i take it the HID bulb only has one filiment in (only two wire going to bulb h4)..

What can i do about that? just do without? or is there a way i can get it back?

Cheers

Arg.. i will try and send it back but i dont think they will let me becuase ive used them.. worth a try i suppose

What could i say is the problem with them? apart from my mistake!

Didn't we talk about this on MSN? I thought I told you I had to get a hi/low kit which uses a solenoid to alter the position of the bulb? Oh well - good luck with changing it. :)

We might of done but i was tired.... Gutted!

Do the bulbs fit with the solenoid? they look very long and the offside is very tight!

Where did you get your kit from them?

Solenoid to change the position of the bulb? what the heck is all that about. Most kits simply have a second filament that is halogen only for high beam. When your on high beam your dipped beam is still illuminated.

With HID's i dont thik they can have to filaments for the heat involved! could be mistaken tho..

I believe you are mistaken m8.

The kelvin rating is the temperature or "colour" of the light. Natural sunlight is about 4500k, or a yellow hue. The light on a ocean coral reef 3ft below the surface is about 10,000k, or blue in colour. The higher the kelvin rating, the less visible light it produces. 10,000k is great for growing coral reefs, but it isn't good for lighting a dark rainy road.

Wattage determines the heat output, not the kelvin rating, and HID's use less wattage than incandescent bulbs, @35W in most cases.

What type of car is it Maxed? ( I'm guessing from your sig its a Honda? ).

Well i havnt see a dual filament HID bulb yet but i dont know the reason why they dont make them like that.

I have a Honda 1.8 VTI
