Was wondering if anyone could help me. My partner loves hidden object games, the problem is the ones on her ipad are full of ads and you run out of energy fast so have to wait to proceed.

I was thinking of building her a PC just to play these games as the PC has tons of these games, I was wondering if anyone could point me towards the max spec I would need for these hidden object games. Maybe I would be better of getting her a win 10 tablet?

Thanks in advance.

Most of the ones my partner plays run easily on an old Intel i3 laptop
I really don't think they need much hardware power to run them at all
Should be able to see recommended specs if you have a look around the sites that do the games
Think big fish games may be where she goes
But to be honest a decent smart phone nowadays probably could run them

Edit here's requirements for a typical hidden object game according to the game makers
Game System Requirements:
  • OS: Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10
  • CPU: 2.5 GHz
  • RAM: 1024 MB
  • DirectX: 9.0
  • Hard Drive: 1230 MB

I have many of this type of game on Steam and my cpu and gpu run them at their idle speeds without ramping the speed up at all. My power draw at the wall while playing this type of game is exactly the same as when the pc is idling. The wife plays them on her pc using the inbuilt GPU of her Haswell 4670k so they aren't demanding at all. If you wanted something modern then I would say a Ryzen 2200G/2400G/3200G/3400G matched up with some DDR4 3200mhz and a B450 motherboard would be way more than enough.

Is that a chrome book?
Not sure of game availability for chrome OS
And I would look for above a celeron cpu
Probably put you around the £300 Mark if go for a laptop
