hide file names? A question ->

Hi, I've just used Genie Backup manager to backup all the files and folders on the volume of my PC that I use for storage. The program uses 256 bit AES encryption to protect the files and folders; however, it stores them pretty much just as they appear on my original volume except with a different extension. The names of documents etc appear just the same apart from this. Is there a program anyone can recommend to mask the file names? Another option (if possible) that appeals to me is locking the one folder I backed up to with a password so that no one can open the archive at all. All I'd need to do would be to 'un-password protect it' before updating the archive. Does anyone know of a program to lock a single folder at the root of a tree such as this without it having to password everything under that root? Answers to either of these potential solutions would be great! Thanks ever so :)
