High Clock vs Low Latency

for gaming which is preferable please

say

1100 CAS5 on a 2:3 divider

or 750 CAS3 on a 1:1 divider ?

my benchmark etc tests seem inconclusive !

is that 1100mhz cas 5 stable? because i would definately stick with the higher clock speed in this case.

yup 1100 CAS5 is stable (Ballistix 8500) @ 2.15VDimm

when I had 2 sticks (now have 4 gigs) I could do 1050 CAS4

Go 1:1 with tightest timings possible...

CAS4@800MHz is theoretically the same as CAS5@1000MHz but CAS timings are the MAXIMUM lookup times for a row select, and the more MHz, the more opportunities you have to complete a lookup, so I would go with the high speed every time.
