high end build, cpu choice?

Specs - Gigabyte G1. Sniper
Corsair Air 540
16GB 2133mhz Dominator Platinum
Sapphire 290 tri-x oc.

I want a CPU to last me a long time... so should I go 4670k or 4770k.

What do you use your pc for? Just gaming or anything else?

If you are just gaming most will say a 4670k will be fine.

However if your budget allows it I would say just get the i7 over the i5.

If you ever plan to go multi-gpu, I would advise gettin the i7 as the extra threads are useful for getting the most out of a couple high end gpu's.

4770k, more future proof than the 4670k and the price difference isn't massive for the benefits you'd get in certain things, capturing game footage for instance.

As above 4770k, will outlast a 4670k just because of the 4 extra threads, games will only start utilizing threads as we progress so the difference *should* become more apparent. Currently though, not much if any difference between the two (single card)

I'll probably go for the 4770k, i want this build to be the best possible, and it also seems that future cpu revisions don't have massive performance increases so I'm guessing the i7 should last me some time.
