High gpu usage in menus

Hi my set up is rtx 2070 and im running it on a 144hz gsync monitor, when im in game menus the fans spin up and uses a lot of gpu power which isnt needed im only in the menu lol is there anything i can do to prevent this ? thanks

You should enable framerate limit.
Should be somewhere in drivers.
Game menus are obviously extremely light load to render, so without some capping framerate can skyrocket to insane level.
Causing heavy power hogging, cooling noise, coil whine...

Quite a number of menus badly done can spam thousands of FPS, use something like RivaTuner to hard limit them and you should avoid it. Given you have G-Sync on might as well cap at 144 as it’s not going to render more than that.

I often pause by going to the menu if I want a toilet break or make a cup of tea etc... Best if you aren't leaving the PC stressing itself out.

I don’t see an option for this in bfv,I can in bo4 should be in all games imo
