Does System Performance > High Performance vs High Quality

What difference does changing this make? It appears not to make a blind bit of difference to my system! Is it worth me fixing this so I it works. Or would the difference between High Quality and High Performance on my 7600gt not that great?

i always have it set to quality mode (high quality mode disabled the advanced optimisations further down the list) so that i get good image quality. there is hardly much difference but if for e.g a game your playing is struggling at around 29fps then sticking it to performance mode could give you around 32-33fps and game will become more playable.

to be honest its hard to tell the speed difference but the quality difference you can make out a bit.

best is to run it in quality mode and enable the optimisations think they are called mip optimisation i forget the other 2.

you say "system performance" not strictly "graphics card" so i will assume you are referring to the Windows setting seeing as you are using the term 'system'.

In reality, no - in todays computing you really won't notice a difference. Not even on an MX440! Maybe waaay back on an old naff PCI graphics card, but certainly didn't. :)
