High power USB hub

is there someone that makes higher power USB hubs? im currently using a powered hub but its just not enough power output. ive looked and cant seem to find a hub with higher that 500ma outputs. i realise its not a big demand item but come on, someone must make them?

Theres probably ones that enable "charging" mode designed for mobile devices, you can also get Y splitter cables that have usb male data (black) and usb male power (red) to a USB female connection for increasing the power available to the device but they need to be connected to 2 seperate powered USB connections not the same HUB. Also some motherboards you can enable USB charging mode on some sockets for increased power.

ta but for what i want it has to be a hub, to replace that which currently lives on my desk. been using mobile for data and the battery is steadily discharging because its using more power than the usb socket can deliver.

Search for USB Hubs with "USB Fast Charging Function" theres a few out there but I can't link to them. I assume they will let you use data and fast charge but dunno for sure.

well that found me a couple, still im baulking at £20 for a usb hub. that seems rather a lot for a usb hub to me so i may hold off, or try to for a bit till they come down.
