Okay, got my new i5 Sandybridge system a few weeks ago (specs should be in my signature) and have been looking at overclocking it. I tried the extreme auto overclock, but this was causing boot issues, so I have gone back to defaults and will try manual OC.
I ran a Prime95 64Bit test on the default settings to see what temp the CPU got to, and it went up to 67C with the fans all at 100%. I expected the water cooling to keep it lower than that (CPU ran at 3.7GHz in turbo mode during test). Any way I can get that temp down (is this a poor water cooler?).
At idle CPU temp is 32C.
The case fans are set with front and side in (120mm), and top out (240mm). The CPU cooler fan also blows out.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
