Highlight of your life this year?

Getting a new job in August. I was really fed-up at my old place and felt really unappreciated - it was great to hand in my notice and tell them I was getting a new job, in a managerial position, paying twice the money and doing things they seemed to think I couldn't. I think I worked my whole weeks notice with a huge smug grin on my face :p

Of course, nearly 5 months later I'm pretty bored of the new job and am planning on looking for something else in the new year :o
 
  1. Completing my first year and starting my 2nd year in a degree in Forensic and Crime Scene science at Bournemouth Uni.

  2. Making some quality mates and still staying close 2 mates from last year.

  3. Touring New Zealand for a month over summer with my parents and my brother visiting as much of both islands as possible. One of the main highlights in my life so far!

  4. Parent's deciding we might be moving to New Zealand in a couple years.

  5. Being back home for xmas and having all my family around for Xmas day and my Birthday (boxing day).

  6. Most of all, everyone in my family is healthy and going strong.
 
Passing and exam i failed at least 4 times, i got really depressed because of it and frustrated because i was really trying, revising all day when i was off. Then on the last day of college i passed it with 90%+.

I was pretty excited, but kind of wondering if it was all fake, i remembered a few questions from the second time and my teacher pointed out quite a lot of them had multiple answers but the system only recognised one.

But i passed at least. (this is why i hate multiple choice exams)

I got accepted as an Apprentice and met some great people whom i still work with until Janruary.

Got the Courage to Buy some Watercooling hardware and install it which felt like a releif as i wanted to do it earlier in the year but exams held me down.

Cannot deny theirs been many ups and downs this year but on a whole its been great.

Last but not least, having 2 weeks off to laze about, sleep, play games and get drunk.

That really was a big steak as well lolz! nearly as nice as the mixed grill that i had. lydia loves me more!!

I think my g/f staying with me this year when i joined the military has been the highlight!

1)me and my girlfriend still going strong. It really means a lot to me

2)taking up photography- its making me look at the world in a whole new light and i love it even if i am terrible at it.

3)seeing Nine Inch Nails at Brixton & Reading Festival

4)skiing down a mountain for the first time ever in switzerland


thats all i can think of atm because im not feeling particularly positive.

those are the things which have been especially amazing and made me really appreciate life.
 
Mine would be getting taken back on at my current contract, they let me go in July but got me back after a couple of weeks. I've recently been asked to stay on for the next three months too.
 
Graduating Uni with a 2:1
Sensation Black
Web development job (although not actually developing it looks good on my cv)
Meeting loads of new friends
 
Telling someone for the first time in my life that I love them and hearing it back.

:) Pretty special to me at least.
 
completing my commercial pilots licence and getting a job with Ryanair as a First Officer flying the 737-800
