I currently have a HIS 6950 which I haven't unlocked due to having only one bios.

Would I see a great jump in performance by adding a second?
Could I use a 6970 with it ie one 6950 and 6970 in crossfire

I'm using a crosshair v and phenom 1090t

Many thanks

Cool, I'm a little confused over two more things.

1.) my first card has 2gb of memory if I add a second will I have 4gb or still only 2gb?

2.) do I attach one or two crossfire bridges I read somewhere that by having two will have a fraction better performance .

If you add a second 2gb card you will still have 2 gb of memory, but if you add a 1 gb card you will only have 1 gb of memory as the cards share. Only use 1 XFire bridge, 2 can sometimes give worse results.

There was somebody claiming better performance with 2 bridges on here not that long ago, but people just laughed and called it a 'placebo bridge' :p
