HIS vs PowerColor vs Sapphire (vs GeCube)

Hi guys! I'm thinking to get a new graphics card this week and I finally decided on ati 3870x2.

Is there any difference bettween these manufacturers: HIS, PowerColor and Sapphire? Which one do you think is better?

They are all mostly the same really. I have heard that the PowerColor ones have a poor RMA service though, so I would recommend the Sapphire.
 
And I was going to pick powercolor :) Thanks for the info!

Sapphire looks nice especially with the lifetime warranty but it is more expensive than HIS --> 271 vs 235
 
Well HIS is supposedly good too, not heard anything wrong with their RMA service and although you may not get a lifetime warranty, do you really need it?
 
I think it'd be best to go with HIS. i don't trust PowerColor, and i've heard bad things about sapphire's RMA, including things like it takes a month for them to process an RMA
 
You should really wait, new ATi Cards due very soon, next few weeks, you'll be disappointed it you spend money on an X2 only to have a 4870 come out a week later. :)
 
Yeah it is an option as well, but I have heard that 4870 will come first and after a month or so x2 will follow. Will 4870 be better than 3870x2?
 
his have some good coolers but all coolers the same on 3870x2 so ho with the cheapest or wait a month and buy r700 = 4870 or gt200 = 9900gtx
 
HIS cards are terrible they come with only one years warranty for a reason, Any more would bankrupt HIS.

I'd say Sapphire first then PowerColor then -----------------------------------> HIS in terms of quality then ----

The only HIS card I ever purchased was back in the day with my 9550, terrible card but was no fault due to HIS lol

I have owned cards from all 3 manufacturers and havent had problems from any of them. I like HIS due to their aftermarket coolers, but other than that get the cheapest of the three, so that would be Powercolor.


BTW i wouldnt worry too much about the odd person bagging any company as every company in the world has a few people who dont like them for whatever personal reason.
 
Just found that the cheapest one is from GeCube. Any complains about that company? Also will a 700w PSU be enough? I got a 450w one now :P
