I got a his 6870 iceq am not a hardcore game Up until recently around 3 weeks ago, my computer has been working fine.*After I rebooted i would get a signal so i had to reboot pc to get it working again but now that doesn't work all i get now when i turn the pc on is no signal.

Check and make sure that the DVI cable is in properly at both ends. Then check that the card's power cables are in properly. Next reseat the card in the PCI-E socket. If it still won't start then the card may be dead.

If you've plugged in two cards and neither are working, that may actually be a positive thing (as in the fault lies elsewhere).

A few things to check:

1) Something may have caused the computer to revert back to using an integrated graphics. Does your computer have on board graphics?

If it does, try plugging the cable into the display output on the IO shield.

2) Do you have a different cable to plug in to the monitor? Similarly, can you plug your graphics card using a different output (e.g. VGA, HDMI or DisplayPort instead of DVI)? One of the input ports on the monitor may not be working.

3) Can you manually select an output on the monitor? I accidentally set my U2412 to 'DisplayPort' when I was connected with DVI and was shocked for a while that it refused to work.

4) I am not asking this in a condescending way, but do you have anything else plugged into the graphics card? (I once spent 45 mins trying to figure out why my screen would turn off after the 'Starting Windows' screen until I figured out the last time I logged off, I was playing FIFA on the telly). Sometimes if the computer doesn't recognise the right resolution or frame rate, it can cause a blank screen.

5) Is it at all feasible to try a different monitor (even a TV) to double check the fault lies with the card and not the monitor?

These are all the things that I can think of that could be preventing your screen from showing apart from the dreaded GPU R.I.P. scenario.

there is no dvi or hdmi

If it does, try plugging the cable into the display output on the IO shield.

I have tested all of the above

no not on mine

No

Yes tested on 2 monitors

I also tested my old gfx card and the same ''No signal''

I take it you cannot test the intergrated graphics then?

What is your PSU? And have you tried upping RAM voltages by a small amount.

Once you have tried two of something, you can reasonably assume that it is not the problem. So far, you have ruled out:

GPU (two tested)
Monitors (two tested)
Cables (different ones tested)
Integrated Graphics (n/a)

The only thing I can think of is that the first PCIe slot may not be working. Does your motherboard have a secondary PCIe slot into which you can temporarily install the graphics card to see if maybe the first PCIe slot is malfunctioning?

Failing this, the only other thing to do would be to see if your graphics card can work on a friend's rig. No need to install any drivers, just to see if you get that 800x600 display on someone else's computer. If it does work, I would assume that the problem with your computer is a motherboard problem; if it doesn't work, then it would seem that the graphics card has died unfortunately (but this is very unlikely as both GPUs displayed identical symptoms).

If you can't find another machine to test it on, the last thing would be to buy a cheap comparable motherboard. But this is the most expensive 'Hail Mary' last resort option as there is a small chance you may end up dropping money on a mobo to find that your graphics card was dead all along. This is why it is ideal to test the GPU on another computer to verify it works.

Good luck!

My psu is a ocz 700w and i must not have intergrated graphics. And i have tested my gfx card out in my friends Rig and it works so it must be some thing else wrong with my pc

Have you checked all your sticks of RAM and fully inserted, I remember messing around with my rig one time and it wouldn't boot due to me being careless. Also reset CMOS might be an option if that does not work.
