hi peeps,
i'm having some real problems with a new website regarding positioning... i'm normally not too bad at all the cross-browser stuff but this one is really doing my head in...
i have a guy that normally does a lot of background coding who would eat this up for breakfast but he's away for two weeks so i'd really appreciate some advice on the matter... i'm sure its something very simple but its driving me up the wall
anyway... here is the nearly completed site: www.odysseydesigns.com/testingstage/
it works perfectly fine in ie7 and firefox, all fine and dandy but in IE6 (grrrrrrrr) the following problems apear:
• the main content is pushed down even thought the container width and inner widths are accurate (goes back up when 10px are added to the container width but this isn't an option layout-wise)
Positioning elements not working:
• the links from the header dont work (should be in the bottom right aswell)
• the man on the contact us page isnt in the top right
• the flash movie on the seo brochure page isnt in the top right
these four problems have given me a lot of stress and if anyone can sort even one of the problems i'd be very grateful... if someone could solve them all i'll personally post you a crate of beer
I also have two other problems but i have a feeling they are related and if i can fix the above stuff i think these will fall into place but...
• the picture on the main page (laptop) is not centered
&
• the text in the "what we do" bit on the front page does not acknowledge the specified gap like in other browsers...
many thanks peeps
