How easy would it be to take the hard drive out of this?

Should be relatively easy to be honest however it will totally destroy any warranty and as the drive has come from SI the normal warranty channels won't work either on the bare drive.

Hitachi have just made some changes to their casing design which is why you have a slightly different drive to the one pictured. All orders placed now will receive the drive in the picture.
