Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

tried to unlock via vpn but for some reason even with the vpn steam directing me to the UK version of it. Never happened before. Oh well guess ill have to wait.

Worrying :(

Sounds like they have tried to make it appeal to a wider audience. i.e. ruined it.

Well of course they would have, there in the buisness of making money, not to pls hardcore fans, i cant understand why people are constantly surprised by this?

Im quite looking forward to it myself

Because you water it down and it still doesn't interest the wider audience and the hardcore fans won't touch it?

Not liking the sound of the reviews for this game. Could be good fun anyway but it doesn't sound like Blood Money and it sounds very much like steam sale material.

I started up blood money last night after watching/reading the reviews of this & it still holds up, some of the controls are a little awkward & the animations are stilted but it's still a very playable game, I think I'm going to hold off on Absolution till after xmas I'm sure by then it will be on sale for silly money.

After seeing the TB vid I'm in two minds about it, I think I'll hold out until some people have completed it here to see if the level design does get better/more Hitman-like later on. I can forgive it having a slow start that holds your hand for a few hours seeing as the stealth mechanics seem completely different now.

Whats wrong with that? Obviously his target was the other fighter, he needed a way in so he stole the outfit of the one of the fighters. There are 50 levels, trying to make out the entire game is some super action quick time event fest based on 1% of the gameplay is extremely moronic.

And do one with that smiley face, you look like a prat.

Apparently a lot of those 50 levels are very short corridor.sections with only one path and a slow no targeting segment.

One level is simply buying a suit.

We ok to talk about the game here or just pre order and such.

Pre loaded 12GB, was expecting 23Gb as read on reddit. Unlocks at midnight.

Don't worry about it. I've got it on my PS3 and it's fantastic ( I loved the old Hitman games). Yes there maybe levels that later on are short corridor type affairs, but the opening three levels are great. Doesn't feel dumbed down at all (I'm playing on normal at the minute).

I'd give it a sold 8/10 so far.

Hitman Absolution's online pass scrapped
Multiplayer Contracts mode will now be playable free of charge.

The publisher was set to charge players for access to the game's Contracts mode, but the multiplayer game type will now be available free of charge.
Square said in a statement: "We'd actually planned to have this mode accessible via a code in the game's box, but we really want to make it available to anybody that plays the game - so we want to take a new approach.

"If you're in North America you'll see the mode automatically appear in the game menu. If you're elsewhere, you can redeem the code inside the box, or you can simply select the BUY CONTRACTS PASS option. From there, head to the store where CONTRACTS will be free to access."

Bloody well better be free!!!

Regarding the simplicity of the first levels, I still remember being really disappointed with the Blood Money demo (which was the first level of the game) because it too was linear, and had too much hand-holding. That was just one level though, designed to introduce newcomers to the series to how the Hitman games work. After that, it was back to normal.

Let's hope it's a similar story here.
